At IginTech®, we believe that meaningful innovation in healthcare is built through collaboration with experienced clinical professionals and trusted local partners. This philosophy came to life during our recent visit to Italy, where, together with our exclusive Italian partner BEMAR Italia, we reached an important milestone in introducing the IginSmart® platform to the Italian healthcare community.
Following months of preparation, planning, and close cooperation between both companies, the IginSmart® platform was introduced at the University Hospital of Salerno (A.O.U. San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d’Aragona) for a three-week clinical evaluation program.
The evaluation was conducted under the leadership of Professor Ornella Piazza, Full Professor at the University of Salerno and Director of the Division of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care within the Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgery Department.
From the very first presentation, the project was received with genuine interest and professional curiosity. The discussions focused not only on the technology itself, but also on the broader clinical challenges hospitals face every day, including infection prevention, workflow standardization, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
Throughout the evaluation period, the clinical team worked closely with both BEMAR Italia and IginTech®, creating an open environment for discussion, learning, and practical assessment of the platform within everyday clinical practice.
For IginTech®, the visit represented far more than a technology demonstration. It reflected the beginning of a collaborative relationship built on scientific dialogue, mutual trust, and a shared commitment to improving healthcare processes through innovation.

The successful completion of this first clinical evaluation represents the first step in a broader journey. Following the encouraging experience in Salerno, additional healthcare facilities are expected to evaluate the IginSmart® platform as part of BEMAR Italia’s ongoing introduction program.
